1.because 習慣上不與 so 連用。漢語習慣上說“因為…所以…”，但習慣上卻不能將 so與because 連用：

　　因為下雨，所以我們呆在家里。

　　誤：Because it was raining, so we stayed at home.

　　正：Because it was raining, we stayed at home.

　　正：It was raining, so we stayed at home.

　　2.(al)though 習慣上不與 but 連用。漢語中可說“雖然…但是…”， 但按英語習慣，通常不能說although…but?或though…but：

　　雖然很危險，但我要試試。

　　誤：Although it 初中地理 is dangerous, but I will try.

　　正：Although it is dangerous, I will try.

　　正：It is dangerous, but I will try.
