詞語用法:
follow可表示“在……之后”，常作及物動詞，后面不需要再加介詞after。

The duckling followed its mother everywhere.

as follows屬于固定的習(xí)慣用語，在以詞組形式出現(xiàn)的時候，follow不可以單數(shù)形式出現(xiàn)，不管句子主語是單數(shù)或復(fù)數(shù)，只可以as follows的形式出現(xiàn)。

following有時以介詞形式出現(xiàn)，常見于報紙上。

follow的基本意思是“跟隨”,可用于時間、順序,也可用于邏輯上或理解上的相隨,引申可表示“追求”。
follow可用作及物動詞,也可用作不及物動詞。用作及物動詞時,接名詞、代詞作賓語。
follow作“從事,經(jīng)營”解時,不直接以行業(yè)名稱作賓語,而應(yīng)以profession或trade等作賓語。
follow可用于存在句型。其位置在there之后,主語之前,主謂倒裝。
follow可用于It follows that-clause結(jié)構(gòu),意思是“說明”“證明”。
as follows是個慣用語,不管主語是單數(shù)還是復(fù)數(shù),也不管使用何種時態(tài),都用as follows。
