follow可表示“在……之后”，常作及物動(dòng)詞，后面不需要再加介詞after。

follow作“從事,經(jīng)營(yíng)”解時(shí),不直接以行業(yè)名稱(chēng)作賓語(yǔ),而應(yīng)以profession或trade等作賓語(yǔ)。
follow可用于存在句型。其位置在there之后,主語(yǔ)之前,主謂倒裝。
follow可用于It follows that-clause結(jié)構(gòu),意思是“說(shuō)明”“證明”。
